My most recent listing in Harvey Park was a Mid-Century Modern Carey Holiday home designed by Norton Polivnik at 2067 S Vrain Street. This home was completely remodeled by Haus Collaborative and gutted down to the studs, and the ceiling was vaulted to match the roofline and create a dramatic, open and airy effect. The interior finishes were selected by Olivia Bartlett of Orb Interiors. The kitchen cabinet door fronts were from Semi-Handmade. The kitchen fridge was custom made, there was also a porcelain terrazzo floor added. The bathroom floor was built with radiant heat and the entire bathroom was transitionless from the drains to all the fixtures. The shower also was curved glass in shape and there was also a skylight inside. All exterior windows were Andersen Windows. There were also slatted wood partitions and a planter added in with snake plants! The kitchen countertops were cut at a sharp angle to mimic authentic Mod-Century Modern design.

The Carey Holiday homes time and time again are great homes for buyers because they not only are Mid-Century Modern in style but they are built with brick on the exterior, making them very sturdy and well built homes. There are many of these homes scattered throughout Harvey Park from Stuart Street to Vrain and Utica Streets, to Wolcott Court. Some of the executive models have basements, this was not one of those.

After 10 offers and 50+ showings on this property, I ultimately had a serious buyer interested in pursuing this home and we got her under contract! I moved into a transaction broker status and helped both parties achieve what they needed. This home ended up going $65K over asking and and closed in 8 days, and my sellers could not have been more thrilled.
