THE HIGHEST POINT IN SOUTHWEST DENVER

Harvey Park is bound by Jewell to the North, Lowell Blvd. to the East, and Sheridan to the West, with the boundary between Harvey Park North and Harvey Park South residing on West Yale Avenue. This neighborhood was built in anticipation of Veterans coming back from WWII, when almost 3,000 homes were built over the span of four years in the 1950s. This neighborhood is a mix of Mid-Century Modern homes as well as Mid-Century brick ranch homes (such as the Hutchinson homes), all of which were known for being extremely well built and durable structures that could stand the test of time. This part of town is known for being one of the last sections of Denver County with somewhat more affordable homes. The location is relatively convenient - triangulated between the City of Denver to the Northeast, Littleton to the South, Englewood and Broadway to the Southeast, and Lakewood to the West.

Most of Harvey Park South is comprised of brick ranch homes, with most of the Mid-Century Modern homes residing in pockets within Harvey Park North. Learn more about the different Mid-Century Modern builders, areas, and home styles using the links below:

Harvey Park also sides to the Loretto Heights campus along Federal, comprised of 78 acres of historic buildings, parks, and open space. Previously utilized as a University, this campus was recently purchased by Westside Development Partners and is slated to be redeveloped as a mix use property with affordable housing, condo and townhome units, experiential retail, added trails and pedestrian walkways, etc. and should become the community center for Southwest Denver. Loretto Heights is the tallest point in the neighborhood. Click here to read more about the Loretto Heights Area Plan.
