Deza Estates Historic District - Northglenn, Colorado Mid-Century Modern Homes

A mid-century modern home with a butterfly roofline in Deza Estates, Northglenn, Colorado

Deza Estates was built by H.A. Swanson & Associates before Northglenn was even established as a city. The architect behind this enclave of 28 custom homes is still somewhat of a mystery and unknown, but what is known is that the designs of this neighborhood were bold and cutting edge for their time, both inside and out.

The home on the corner of 99th & Huron was featured in the 1956 Parade of Homes. The homes on 99th sit high on the hill and have stunning views of the City of Denver as well as the Front Range and Rocky Mountains, depending on where you stand on the lot. The land parcels that convey with these architectural gems are larger in size, coming in around .4 or half of an acre each, many complete with mature trees and landscaping. The neighborhood has quick access to the I-25 corridor.

Some of the street names, such as Rapp Lane, were named after families who were original owners in the neighborhood. This area has been featured in many Denver Modernism Week home tours. This neighborhood was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places in late 2023.
